Trainer Alrie McNiff Daniels, a certified Reframing aging facilitator with the National Center to Reframe Aging, will explain how to recognize your own implicit bias and share strategies for eliminating elderspeak in our everyday lives.
10/22: Picturing Change: Harnessing Client Visual Language to See and Create New Futures
Photovoice is a research method that combines photography and narrative storytelling to empower participants to reflect on their experiences and navigate toward their goals. Participants will learn how to design their own PhotoVoice projects and tailor them to the needs of different communities.
11/13: When to Hold, When to Share: Clinical and Ethical Dilemmas of Secrets in Couples Therapy
Mark Gianino, BUSSW clinical associate professor, returns to The Network to help social workers explore the ethical and clinical challenges secrets present in couples therapy. With a special focus on marginalized populations, this session takes a justice-informed approach to navigating disclosures in couples therapy.
