What kind of Continuing Education (CE) credits do you offer?

The Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) is an approved provider of Continuing Education (CE) through several accrediting bodies at both the national and local levels.

CADER courses, certificates, and webinars offer CE credits for a range of professionals, including:

Social Workers
Mental Health Counselors
Healthcare Professionals

For detailed information about CE credits available for a specific course or certificate, please visit our Continuing Education Credits page.

If you represent a Massachusetts organization interested in offering your own CE-approved training program, visit our For Organizations page to learn more about our CE Approval Program.

How long do I have to complete my online course or certificate?

Learners have one year from the enrollment date to access and complete their program. We recommend aiming to finish within 6–9 months to stay on track and get the most out of your learning experience.

If you need more time, a 60-day extension is available for a $100 fee. To request an extension, please email us at cader@bu.edu.

Please note that while the general completion policy allows one year from the date of invoice, some agencies, organizations, or states may have their own completion deadlines. Be sure to check with your Training Lead for specific requirements.
